김지원은 자타가 공인하는 믿고 보는 배우다. 2010년 롤리팝 광고로 얼굴을 알리고 몇 편의 인상적인 CF를 통해 대중들에게 눈도장을 찍었다. 이어 드라마 <하이킥! 짧은 다리의 역습>(2011)에서 만화 같은 비주얼과 안정적인 연기력 선보이며 배우로서의 입지를 다졌다.

김지원은 어떤 캐릭터든 자신만의 것으로 만들어냈다. 2013년 방영한 드라마 <상속자들>에서는 고교생 답지 않은 남다른 카리스마와 도도함을 가지고 있는 ‘유라헬’ 역을 맡아 뜨거운 호평의 중심에 섰다. 악역이었음에도 캐릭터의 여린 속내와 상처를 끌어 올리며 미움이 아닌 공감과 동정을 불러일으켰다. 김지원이기에 가능했던 유라헬, 김지원이기에 미워할 수 없었던 유라헬을 만들어낸 것.

김지원이 한 걸음씩 밟아온 연기자의 길은 누구보다 다채로웠다. 매 작품 새로운 얼굴을 꺼내 놓으며 대중들을 사로잡았고, 그 깊이와 넓이 역시 매번 놀랍게 확장시키며 감탄을 불러일으켰다. <아스달 연대기>(2019)에서는 무게감을 입더니 <도시남녀의 사랑법>(2020)으로는 편안한 일상 연기로 눈길을 사로잡았다. 김지원의 연기는 깊고 진하다. 어떤 캐릭터를 입어도 시청자들을 설득시키는 이유 역시 여기에 있다.

Kim Ji Won is a “trusted actress” recognized by many people. She showed her face to the world with the Lollipop commercial in 2010, followed by several impressive commercials that caught the eyes of the public.
