YANG KYUNG WON / 楊炅沅

배우 양경원은 무대에서 연기를 시작했다. 2010년 뮤지컬 <브로드웨이 42번가>로 데뷔, <아가씨와 건달들>, <두 도시 이야기>, <조로>, <거울공주와 평강이야기> 등 뮤지컬 배우로 활동했다.

2012년 극단 ‘공연배달서비스 간다’에 합류, 처음 도전한 연극 <나와 할아버지>를 마친 뒤 본격적으로 연기에 대한 고민을 시작했다. 연극 <올모스트 메인>, <유도소년>, <신인류의 백분토론>, <우리 노래방 가서… 얘기 좀 할까?>, <뜨거운 여름> 등을 통해 탄탄한 연기내공을 다진다. 또한 뮤지컬 <오 당신이 잠든 사이>, <로기수>, <바람직한 청소년>, <티케> 등 다양한 무대에서 활약을 이어갔다.

2019년 <아스달 연대기>로 브라운관에 데뷔, 순수한 와한족 전사 ‘터대’ 역을 맡아 짧지만 강한 인상을 남겼다.

이어 드라마 <사랑의 불시착>(2020)의 북한군 5중대원 ‘표치수’ 역을 통해 연기 인생의 터닝포인트를 맞이했다. 신선한 얼굴과 찰떡 같은 연기력으로 극에 활력을 불어넣으며 존재감을 발산, 단박에 대체불가 신스틸러로 자리매김했다. 이 작품으로 제 56회 백상예술대상 남우조연상 후보에 오르며 그가 얼마나 큰 잠재력을 가진 배우인지 알리는 계기가 되었다.

드라마 <빈센조>(2021)에서 인간미 넘치는 캐릭터의 매력을 표현한 양경원은 2022년, 드라마 <빅마우스>에서 또 한 번 존재감을 폭발시켰다. 언론재벌 ‘공지훈’ 역을 맡아 서늘한 카리스마를 연기하며 새로운 빌런의 탄생을 알렸다.

그외 드라마 <하이바이, 마마!>(2020), <오늘은 좀 매울지도 몰라>(2022), 방송 <주문 바다요>(2020), <복면가왕> 등에 출연, 끊임없이 새로운 모습을 선보이며 앞으로의 양경원을 더욱 기대하게 만들고 있다.

Actor Yang Kyung Won began his acting career on stage. After his debut in the 2010 musical <42nd Street: The Musical>, he was active as a musical actor in performances such as <Guys and Dolls>, <A Tale of Two Cities>, <Zorro>, and <The Story of Pyeonggang the Mirror Princess>.

After joining the theater company ‘Performance Delivery Service, Let’s Go’ in 2012 and finishing his very first play <Me and My Grandfather>, he began thinking about his acting career in earnest. Thereafter, he established himself and his acting through plays such as ‘Almost Main’, <Judo Boy>, <100-min Debate with the New People>, <Shall we go to the singing room... and talk?>, and <Hot Summer>.

Furthermore, he continued pursuing his career as a musical actor in pieces such as <Oh! While you were Sleeping>, <Rogisoo>, <Ideal Youth>, and <Tyche>.

He made his television debut in 2019 in the drama <Arthdal Chronicles> (2019). He made a short but strong impression on the viewers by playing the role of the pure-hearted Wahan Warrior, ‘Teodae’.

He meets a turning point in his acting career after taking on the role of ‘Pyo Chi Soo’, one of the members of the 5-person North Korean troop, in the TV show <Crash Landing on You > (2020). He breathed life into the TV show with his unique appearance and strong acting, exuding a strong presence in the story and immediately establishing himself as an irreplaceable scene-stealer. He was nominated for a Supporting Actor Award at the prestigious 56th Paeksang Arts Award for his role as ‘Pyo Chi Soo’, displaying his great potential as an actor. The film earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in TV at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards, proving his abundant potential as an actor.

After portraying the charming character with a human touch in the TV series <Vincenzo>(2021), Yang presented his explosive presence once again in the series <Big Mouth>(2022). Playing the role of media conglomerate Gong Gi-hoon, he displayed a chilling charisma and announced the birth of a new villain.

He also appeared TV series <Hi Bye, Mama!>(2020) and <Recipe for Farewell>(2022), as well as the TV show <We Take Orders>(2020) and <Masked Singer>. Actor Yang Kyung Won is continuously showing the public new facets of himself, making us look forward to his career in the coming years.
