OH EUI SIK / 呉義植

배우 오의식은 2006년 어린이 뮤지컬 <브레멘 음악대>로 데뷔, 이후 뮤지컬 <아가사>, <로기수>, 연극 <유도소년>, <렁스>, <그때도 오늘> 등 다양한 무대와 작품을 통해 자신만의 입지를 다져왔다.

2015년 드라마 <오 나의 귀신님>에 출연하며 대중에게도 얼굴을 알리기 시작했다. 다수의 무대 경력으로 쌓아온 탄탄한 연기력은 스크린과 브라운관에서도 빛을 발했다. 드라마 <하이바이, 마마!>(2020), <한 번 다녀왔습니다>(2020), <여신강림>(2020) 등에서 맛깔 나는 캐릭터 소화력을 선보이며 단숨에 믿고 보는 신스틸러로 거듭났다.

특히 드라마 <갯마을 차차차>(2021)에서 ‘박정우’ 역으로 깊은 인상을 남겼다. 작품의 중요한 포인트로 작용했던 과거 서사를 내밀한 열연으로 완성하며 극의 몰입도를 높였다. 이후 드라마 <빅마우스>(2022)에서 반전의 2인자 ‘김순태’ 역을 맡아 시청자들에게 충격을 안겨주기도 했다.

2023년 방영된 드라마 <일타 스캔들>과 <소방서 옆 경찰서 그리고 국과수>에서는 각기 다른 모습으로 무한한 연기 스펙트럼을 증명했다. <일타 스캔들>에서는 순수한 매력으로, <소방서 옆 경찰서 그리고 국과수>에서는 냉철한 매력으로 보는 이들의 마음을 사로잡았다.

뿐만 아니라 뮤지컬 <렛미플라이>, 연극 <카페 쥬에네스> 등 무대에서도 다채로운 모습을 보여주며 ‘올라운더’ 배우로 활약하고 있다.

오의식의 연기는 장르와 무대를 가리지 않는다. 어떤 자리에서도 연기 변주를 유연하게 펼쳐내며 자신만의 존재감을 확실하게 보여준다. 팔색조 같은 활약으로 계속해서 새로운 모습을 선보일 오의식. 그의 무궁무진한 변신은 계속된다.

Actor Oh Euisik made his acting debut with the children's musical <BREMEN> in 2006. He later starred in the musicals <Agatha>(2014) and <RHO71500>(2015) and the plays <Judo Boy>(2014), <LUNGS by Duncan Macmilan>(2021), and <Today Even Then>(2022), establishing his own position via various stages and works.

In 2015, he appeared in the TV series <Oh My Ghost> and started making his face known to the public. His solid acting skills built up over several stage experiences have also shone on screens big and small. He demonstrated his ability to portray addictive characters in the TV shows <Hi Bye Mama>(2020), <Once Again>(2020), and <True Beauty>(2020), positioning himself as a scene-stealer whom the viewers can depend on.

In particular, he left a deep impression on the viewers as 'Park Jung-woo' in the TV series <Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha>(2021). He completed the past narrative, which served as a key to the whole story, with his detailed performance and enhanced the engagement with the show. He later played the role of Kim Soon-tae, the second-most unexpected twist in the TV series <Big Mouth>(2022) and utterly shocked the viewers.

In the 2023 TV series <Crash Course in Romance> and <The First Responders>, Oh proved his infinite acting spectrum with different characters. His pure charm in <Crash Couse> and cold charisma in <The First Responders> captivated the viewers’ hearts.

He has also starred on stage, such as in the musical <Let Me Fly> and the play <Café Jeunesse>, continuing his activity as an 'all-rounder' actor.

His acting is undisturbed by genres or stages. He flexibly unfolds his acting variations in any role and clearly portrays his unique presence. Actor Oh Euisik will continue demonstrating a new character with his colorful performance. His limitless transformation continues.
